Revisions on the web (revisions.build) and the Revisions app for iPhone and Android. Last updated October 9, 2026.
What we keep
Your account: your name, email, company and the password you chose (stored only as a one-way hash). What your team puts in a project: drawings, versions, markups, punch items, RFIs, comments, and the photos you add. For each photo we keep the picture, when it was taken, who added it, where it was pinned on the plan and, when the phone tells us, the compass direction the camera faced.
What the app uses on your phone
- Camera and photos - only when you take or pick a photo to put on a plan.
- Location - only on your phone, to list the project you are standing at first. Your location is not sent to us or stored.
- Compass and motion - only to show and record which way a photo looks on the plan.
- Storage on the phone - drawings you save for offline use, and photos and items waiting to upload while you have no signal.
Who sees it
A project is seen by the people your company adds to it, with the access your company gives them, and by people you send a share link to. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers. We use it only to run Revisions: hosting, backups, email notifications you turn on, and payments (processed by Stripe; we never see card numbers).
AI apps you connect (Claude, ChatGPT and others)
You can connect an AI app to your Revisions account through our MCP server at https://revisions.build/mcp (see how it works). Nothing is shared until you sign in on our page and allow it there.
- What the app can reach: only what you can see in Revisions yourself - your projects, sheets and revision history, items, comments, transmittals and project contacts, with your role on each project. If you allow it, it can also create items, comment on them and open or close them, as you. It cannot delete anything, see passwords, manage people or billing, or reach other companies' data.
- What we keep: which app you connected, when, what you allowed and when it was last used, plus one-way hashes of its access tokens. We do not receive or store your conversations with the AI app - only the requests it makes to Revisions, which are handled like your own use of the site.
- What the AI provider receives: the results of the requests the app makes (for example a list of sheets) go to that app and its provider, under your agreement with them and their privacy policy. Ask only for what you are allowed to share.
- Ending it: disconnect an app any time in Revisions under Company → Integrations → AI apps; its access stops at once. A company administrator can turn AI apps off for the whole company. Access tokens expire after an hour and are renewed only while the app stays connected; unused connections expire after 90 days.
How long
Project data stays while your company keeps the project. Deleted items go to the bin and are removed for good after 30 days. When a company closes its account, its projects are deleted.
Your choices
You can sign out of the app at any time, remove saved projects from the phone in Settings, and ask your company's admin - or us - to correct or delete your account. To delete your account or ask anything about your data, write to support@revisions.build.
Delete your account and data
To delete your Revisions account (web and the Revisions: Drawings on Site app):
- Email support@revisions.build from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account".
- We confirm by email and delete the account within 30 days. You are signed out of the app and the web on every device.
What is deleted: your name, email, password hash, sign-in tokens and devices, notification settings, and saved app data. What is kept: drawings, markups, punch items, RFIs, comments and photos you added to a company's project belong to that company's project record; they stay in the project, shown under your name, until the company deletes the project. A company admin can also remove you from a project at any time. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
You can remove saved offline projects and photos waiting to upload from the phone yourself in the app's Settings, or by deleting the app.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). The app keeps a sign-in token on the phone and never stores your password. You can see and sign out your devices from the web app.
Children
Revisions is a work tool for construction teams and is not meant for children.
